Athena Idle: a Black Desert Online Fishing Game for Your Discord Server
Athena Idle is the fishing game built into the Project Athena bot: Black Desert Online fishing, played in Discord. Real BDO fish at their real prices, Fishing Mastery from Beginner to Guru, and your guild fishing side by side in one channel.
Getting started
- Invite the bot to your server (the same bot runs Node War rosters, so guilds that already use it can start right away).
- Cast with
bdo fishor/fish. Every catch shows its grade, price and the mastery XP it gave. - Sell with
bdo sell, then spend silver inbdo shop: rods, floats, chairs, outfits, accessories and bait. - Travel with
bdo region: rivers and seas from Velia Beach to Margoria open up as your rank grows.
What there is to do

Frequently asked questions
How do I start fishing with the bot?
Invite Project Athena to your Discord server and type bdo fish (or /fish) in any channel. Each cast lands real Black Desert Online fish at their real base prices. Sell them with bdo sell, and your silver, catches and gear follow you to every server the bot is in.
Are the fish and prices from the real game?
Yes. The fish, their grades (General, High-Quality, Rare and Prize) and their base prices come from Black Desert Online, and the fishing regions follow BDO, from Velia Beach to Margoria. Fishing Mastery runs Beginner to Guru, and Prize fish odds rise with mastery the same way they do in the game.
What are baits and do they matter?
Baits are bought in the shop and one is used per cast. The five tiers add extra fish per cast, better grades, or both, from the cheap Earthworm to the Kraken Lure. Voting for the bot on Top.gg gives free Squid Bait and silver.
Can my guild fish together?
Yes. Fishing in the same channel wakes sea bosses from Black Rust to Vell that everyone can join, storms boost the whole channel, and seagull schools give a Rare fish to anyone who casts in time. Server admins can set a role to ping when a boss appears with /assign-role.
Is it free, and is it fair?
It is free. A picture code check every so often, a daily cast limit and rest breaks keep macros out, so the leaderboard reflects people actually playing.
